BIN TAX
Dublin Corporation are now sending out bills for the new bin tax in Dublin.
You are being asked to pay the first installment of £95 (or £65 if you don't
have a wheelie bin.)

Double Tax
The bin charge is an unjust double tax. We have already paid for these
services. Why should we pay again? Charlie McCreevy has a massive budget
aurplua which came from our taxes. This money should be used to pay for
local services.

The Real Wasters
80 million tonnes of waste are produced in this country every year. Less
than 2 million tonnes come from the householder. The rest comes from
industry and construction.

No Waste Plan
The claim that this is an environmental tax is a lie. Neither the
Corporation or the government have a plan to deal with the waste crisis. In
fact they are pushing ahead to build incinerators. These need waste to feed
them and produce poisonous dioxins which cause cancer and other illnesses.
The real answer to the waste problem is to force big business and major
supermarkets to reduce packaging and to produce re-cyclable products.

Privatisation
And remember! If they get the charge in it will increase every year! In the
longer term they will privatise our services and also try to bring back
water charges.

Non-Payment
Lets stop them now. A mass campaign of non-payment and protest will defeat
them, as we did on Water Charges.. Come to the meeting and see how you can
